Immigration New Zealand policy requires that all documents not in English mustbeaccompanied by an English translation. In the past we have not strictly enforced thispolicy. An external audit of our practices has resultedin a new quality assuranceprogramme whichhas highlighted this issue. From August 1't, 2010 all ImmigrationNew Zealandbranches are required to strictly abide by our policy of requiringEnglishtranslations of all documentssubmitted with visa applications. Please note that agents who are providingimmigration advice to students are not able to do translations on behalf of thestudents that they represent. Agents who are only filling in and lodging forms areable to do translations because they do not have an interest in the outcome ofthe application. Immigration New Zealand realizes that theagents will not be happy about this development. Please be apologized for theextra expense and trouble that being put through them. Unfortunately ImmigrationNew Zealand is not able to put this off any longer. There is a policy review inprogress and Immigration New Zealand is hoping the policy will change, but donot yet know what the conclusion will be.
